Postworks supports a real living wage for 3rd year running
Online post company Postworks have confirmed that they are paying the real living wage to their team for the 3rd year running. The wage is independently calculated by The Living Wage Foundation based on the cost of living, and is voluntarily paid by 9,000 employers across the UK.
On top of paying The Living Wage, Postworks is also increasing salaries companywide to help combat the rising energy costs and inflation. To help ease this pressure, and the uncertainty many households are experiencing, every member of the Postworks team is receiving a permanent 5% pay rise, starting beginning in February 2022.
Supporting their employees is something that is incredibly important to Postworks, where their people are at the heart of what they do. The company provides free lunches for all employees, offers monthly rewards like days out, meals out and cash bonuses for hitting the company targets, and provides a personal development budget.
Everyone, no matter the department, benefits as Postworks recognise the fact that every employee is responsible for the company’s success. Flexible hours and hybrid working are also on offer to the whole team, so they can work in a way that is best for them.
Marvee-Lisa Booker, Chief Growth Officer at Postworks said:
“Sustainability is so important to us. But it isn’t just about the environment. It’s also about taking care of our team, and making sure that they can afford to live. A company is a group of people, and those people need to have their needs met too.”
So offering a real living wage to all employees is another proverbial string in the company’s sustainability bow. The company also boasts leading the environmental way by being the first postal company that is carbon neutral and by supporting replanting schemes.
