- How do I get my letters to Postworks?

You can upload via your browser with a simple drag and drop. Other options include our virtual printer, or you can automate using our server application or REST API. Contact us if you’re not sure which is best for you.
- What happens after I’ve uploaded my letters?

You’ve got a window to recall items if you need to. If not, they’ll be received by our secure production facility and printed and posted the same day.
- Can I track my letter?
-
You sure can. We’re ClearSend® certified. ClearSend® gives you certified proof of postage and tracking through the Royal Mail network, at no extra cost. Postworks are the only postal provider to offer this.
- How secure is it?

We use end-to-end bank level encryption and we’re ISO 27001 certified. If info sec, is your thing, head over to our Knowledge Base to get the technical detail.
- What about GDPR?

Postworks follows all applicable data processing laws. You can find a sample DPIA here if your organisation needs to complete one, this contains all the detail you’ll need.
- What paper will my letters be printed into?

We use an FSC approved, 90gsm bright white smooth stock. It’s specifically designed to be of an excellent quality and environmentally friendly at the same time. That’s a win-win!
- We send large letters, will it cost more?

It’s just a flat rate of 49p extra for up to 100 sheets. That means huge savings for you.
- Where is my letter printed?

Postworks operates a secure print facility with commercial grade print fleet and highly automated fulfilment equipment (they’re the machines that fold, insert and seal). The facility is managed by an amazing team of hardworking people dedicated to getting your post printed beautifully, enveloped securely and into the delivery network the same day.
- How does sustainability fit into all of this?

Glad you asked. Postworks is the only UK postal provider that’s carbon neutral. Additional to that, we plant 11 trees for every 10 we use.
- Can I choose custom paper and envelopes?

You can have any colour paper or envelope you’d like, so long as it’s white!
- What if we notice an error on one of our letters?

So long as your in the ‘recall window’ you can just cancel the letter in a click.
- Can I automate sending post?

We love this question! Yes you can. We’ve got a couple of different options like PostboxServer™ and Postworks API. Contact us to talk to us about integrations.
- Is my letter printed and posted the same day?

Sure is. Just make sure your letter is uploaded by the daily cut-off time.
- Can I use my letterhead?

Absolutely. Send us your letterhead as a PDF and it can be automatically applied to the letters you choose.
- Can I add attachments to my letters?

Sure, you can. Up to 30! If you’re collating packs of info, we’ll make it a breeze.
- How can I control what my team send?

Yes you can. You’re in charge and can choose permissions on a user level.
- What if Royal Mail can’t deliver my letter?

We’ll automatically update the status of your letter once it’s returned along with the reason why provided by Royal Mail. And at no extra charge.
- Who delivers my letters?

Trusted Royal Mail. We’re one of their best customers, you know.
- Can I send international post?

Yes, you can send post from anywhere in the world, to anywhere in the world.
- Can we send parcels through Postworks?

No. Postworks prints and fulfills physical letters. We’re the best thing since sliced bread if you’re posting invoices, not so much if you’re looking to post out widgets.
- Can you also receive my post?

We can, we offer an inbound mail service called Postworks Receive
- What happens to my letter when it's received?

It’s opened and scanned in the same day and made available for you to view.
- How do I see my post?

You can view letters on our secure online portal or we can integrate with any DMS (document management system) easily. Contact us to talk to us about integrations.
- Can we use our Receive address as a registered office?

Yes you can. You’ll need to register with us to set this up. Contact us.
- What happens if we receive a parcel?

Any parcels we receive are automatically separated and forwarded to an address of your choice
- What if I need the original item that's been scanned in?

We automatically forward items that fit our criteria for original documents (like ID documents, deeds, wills etc). You can also request the original online and we’ll forward it to you.
- Can you integrate with my document management software?

Yes! We can integrate with any DMS (document management system) easily. Contact us to talk to us about integrations.
- How do I get it set up?

We’ll send an online quote for you to sign.
- Can you arrange my redirection?
-
This is the only thing that you’ll have to do. To prevent fraud and keep your data safe, only the company applying for the redirection can do this.
- Is there a contract?

Just a 90 day rolling agreement.
- Can I limit who sees letters?

Yes, you can select for only certain users to have access to Postworks Receive.
- How often is post scanned in?

Post is opened and scanned the same day, Monday – Friday.
- When do originals get sent?
-
You will provide us with an alternative address to send all originals to.
- How does the pricing work?

It’s just 15p per side and the monthly Postworks subscription. See plans here.
- I don't want to pay for marketing mail to be scanned in?

We don’t blame you. We don’t charge you for that. We’ll automatically dispose of any marketing mail.
